Hello Charla My name is Bridgette Johnson and I want to tell you about a lady who had the power to change her tragedy to triumph. I love to help empower those who think that their lives are over.Norma Moore went blind six years ago. She knew she still had a purpose. She wanted to learn to praise dance and we met through her cousin and I agreed to teach her to dance. It was very akward at first but Norma has has an uncanny perservance of any individual i’ve seen. After weeks of practicing she started dancing in many churches throughout the community bring tears to the eyes of the old and young. She had the power to change and I want you to meet her.

I recently decided to follow my passion… I have always aspired to be a famous Eyebrow Artist, have my very own studio and create my own products just like Hollywood eyebrow gurus such as Anastasia Beverly Hills! I want women to have a place to go in the Kentucky area where they can get those beautiful, perfectly shaped celebrity eyebrows that you see in the magazines and on TV. I want to create awareness concerning this very underestimated feature of the face. I see so many “overdone” eyebrows and I want to be the one to change that! I want to also help change peoples “idea” of success and how important that we get out of comfort zones and go after what God has planned for us! I am so excited and thankful to be able to share my gift with others and how the look on their face is thanks enough once they see their transformation.

I would change the ways in which parents rear their children. Today’s parents need a lot of help and support in making decisions about how they teach and train their young. Most parents do not have a plan for the life of their child and have no clue as to what to do. Did you know that most parents spend more time planning for a child’s first birthday party than they do in planning for the rest of the child’s life? Sad, but true. And when parents do plan, it is usually only in the area of finances and education. But what about the child’s character development and their health and wellness? Every parent should have a written plan for the life of each child. The Intentional Parenting Plan (TIPP) is such a document. Check it out at http://www.vedamcclain.com . I help parents become better with rearing their children. Helping parents is what I do.

I love this post Veda! We will certainly keep this idea in our priority files. It is important to make a plan for our child’s life. They are counting on us to the ADULTS and give them guidance. Thanks for this post!

The practical side said, go to school and be a civil engineer but when your heart speaks loud enough you follow your heart and her heart is music.

    Hi Charla!!!
I would give teens the opportunity to express themselves through Poetry/Spoken Word in places like Home of the Innocence, Job Corps, and any other place that I saw the need. While working as a Pre-K Bus Monitor, I with the help of two others, started a Poetry/Spoken Word Club at Waggener High School this school year called The Cat Lounge and the things that my kids come up with is amazing to me. We meet every Wednesday after school and go over different aspects of poetry, share our poetry with each other, and talk about where we want the club to go. And then on the last Wednesday of the month we put on an Open Mic. Our principal has come and participated and some of the teachers, staff, and a couple of parents come and support the kids also. I love what the club has done for the kids and want to give all kids the same opportunity.
I have began talking to the Home of the Innocence and the next thing on my list are other children’s homes and Job Corps. Wish Me Luck!!

Charla you are an amazing lady with a BIG HEART as you utilize the power of the spoken word along with the media to reach hundreds if not thousands with life changing
information; its like the gospel, no longer just words on a page, but when they are VOICE RELEASED into the atmosphere, they IGNITE the passion in people and propel them toward their destiny!! Thank you for being a part of my destiny. I WONT FORGET YOU

HELP!! A good show topic would be getting organized information-wise. I have papers, books and equipment all over my workstation;being an artist and craftsman, I need my tools when I need them; I lost a hacksaw right there in my workspace and can’t find it anywhere. My wife sometimes playfully compares me to a hoarder, but its not true. If you was to see my working area you might gasp and say how in the world do you work in this mess? It sure would help me to have some helpful feedback on how to organize all of your stuff. Thank you

i would have my own business (a small shop thats a mix of a candle shop ,bookstore, herb shop, thrift store, and church) that also helps the community. It would also help my church cause i’m a reverend and i want a place to hold meeting other than the local coffee shop.
